Getting Started
Start with your company or brand, country, project stage and the support you may need. If available, add the product category, target market, launch timing and a link to your company website.
KOBO works across shampoos, conditioners, masks, scalp care, treatment and repair, color, perm, styling, curl, grooming and technical salon systems. Selected personal-care and pet-care projects may also be discussed.
Yes. Projects may include a first launch, private-label program, new category, range extension, supplier transition or a more differentiated product system.
Development Paths
OEM / Private Label begins with a mature KOBO formula. ODM / Custom Development creates a custom formula around a brief or performance target. Brand & Product Development connects the wider proposition, including positioning, range planning, formula, identity, packaging and manufacturing.
Choose OEM for an efficient mature-formula route, ODM when formula-level differentiation matters, and Brand & Product Development when the product system and brand expression need to be shaped together. If you are unsure, select Not Sure Yet in Quick Inquiry.
Formulas & Samples
Yes. KOBO has 1,000+ mature formulas. Relevant options are shortlisted according to category, performance direction, destination market and project requirements.
Yes. Custom development can begin with a performance target, reference product, ingredient direction, sensorial objective or defined consumer need.
Some adjustments may be possible depending on the formula and type of change. KOBO confirms the practical boundaries after reviewing the brief.
Yes. The sample route and revision scope depend on the development path, product category and complexity. Any applicable development, sample and delivery terms are confirmed during project planning.
A benchmark can communicate performance or sensorial direction. KOBO uses it as a reference while developing a technically feasible product with its own commercial and positioning objectives.
MOQ & Pricing
MOQ depends on formula batch requirements, packaging and decoration minimums, filling efficiency, component supply and the degree of customization. KOBO assesses it after understanding the project configuration.
Formula composition, pack size, components, decoration, quantity, testing, packing and delivery requirements can affect cost. Any applicable formulation, sampling, design, testing or tooling fees are confirmed before the relevant work begins.
An initial commercial direction may be discussed, but an accurate quotation requires sufficient definition of the formula, packaging, quantity and project scope.
Packaging & Design
Yes. KOBO can coordinate component selection, sourcing, decoration and production feasibility. Independent specialist partners UDL and blueorange may contribute graphic and packaging expertise according to the project.
Custom-mold and structural packaging development can be considered for selected projects. Design scope, tooling cost, ownership, exclusivity, volume and technical feasibility must be agreed before production.
Responsibilities are defined during the project. The client approves final brand, claims and market information, while KOBO provides the agreed technical and production-related review.
Testing & Markets
Requirements depend on the formula, packaging, intended use, claims and destination market. Work may include stability, microbiology, compatibility, performance evaluation or claim-support coordination. The program and responsible parties are confirmed for each project.

Timing depends on the development path, formula complexity, sample feedback, testing, packaging, component availability and destination market. KOBO proposes a project schedule after reviewing the brief.
Applicable incoming, in-process, bulk and finished-product controls are planned around the agreed requirements. Any first-batch review or third-party inspection should be raised before order confirmation so timing and responsibilities can be agreed.
KOBO coordinates agreed export and shipping information according to the transaction and destination. Approved project information supports reorders, while formula, packaging or market changes are assessed as project updates.
Confidentiality & IP
Confidentiality requirements and documentation can be discussed before sensitive information is exchanged. The initial Quick Inquiry should contain only introductory project information.
Ownership, permitted use, exclusivity, tooling and intellectual-property terms depend on the development path and commercial agreement. These points must be documented for each project.
Formula use and exclusivity are project-specific commercial matters. They are not assumed automatically and must be agreed during development.
